What your visitors see
A tour of the chat from your visitor’s side.
Starting a chat
Visitors click the chat button (or use the chat inside a page). They see your AI notice, if you set one, your welcome message and any suggested questions as buttons.
Answers
Each answer is short and written from your site’s content, with Sources underneath linking to the pages, posts or documents used. If your site doesn’t cover the question, the chatbot says so rather than guessing.
Answer options
- Good answer / Bad answer: rate the answer; a bad rating asks what went wrong.
- Copy answer: copies the text.
- Read aloud: reads the answer out using the device’s voice.
- Stop the answer: stops a long answer part-way.
- Reset conversation: clears the chat and starts again.
Moving around your site
The conversation carries on as the visitor moves between pages in the same browser tab.
Accessibility
The chat works with a keyboard, labels its buttons, announces new answers to screen readers and, on small screens, keeps focus inside the open chat.
When the chatbot is paused
If your monthly replies run out, visitors see a short “busy, please try again later” message until your allowance resets or you upgrade.
