AI Content Search

WordPress AI search that understands the question

Visitors ask in their own words. GoChatterBot searches the pages, posts and custom content you have already published, reads the best matches and answers in a sentence or two. No training files and no FAQ to maintain.

  • Pages, posts and custom post types
  • Custom fields you choose
  • New pages count straight away

How it searches

From a plain question to the right page

Keyword boxes make visitors guess the words you used. The chatbot does the guessing for them.

  1. Ask in plain words

    “Where do I park?” works as well as “parking information”.

  2. Search your site

    It searches the content types you allow, trying other wording if the first search comes back thin.

  3. Read the best matches

    It opens the closest pages. On long pages it reads the parts that match the question.

  4. Answer with links

    A short answer, with links to the pages it used so visitors can read more.

Every content type

Pages and posts, plus the custom types your site is built on

Events, locations, staff profiles, courses, products: if WordPress publishes it, the chatbot can read it. Pick the types in Settings → Content, or leave them all unticked to read every public type.

  • Published content onlyDrafts, private and password-protected posts are never read.
  • Categories and tags as contextTerm names can travel with each result, so “events for kids” finds the right category.

Custom fields

The details live in fields. So does the answer.

Opening hours, ticket prices, event dates and speaker names often sit in custom fields, not in the page text. Choose the fields to share for each content type and give them clear labels, and the chatbot answers with the specifics.

  • Fields per content typeShare only what helps an answer.
  • Upcoming firstSort dated content by a date field so the next event comes first.
  • Past dates are markedIt knows last month's event has already happened.

Your shorthand

Abbreviations your visitors actually type

Every organization has its own acronyms. List them once as abbreviation = meaning and a short question that matches is expanded before the search runs, so “PTO?” finds your paid time off policy.

PTO=paid time off
HOA=homeowners association
CE=continuing education

Always current

Publish in WordPress. The chatbot already knows.

It reads the live site when someone asks, so there is no index to rebuild and nothing to re-upload after an edit.

When is the next board meeting?Do you deliver on Sundays?How much is a day pass?Who teaches the beginner class?Where do I drop off donations?Is the library open on holidays?What's included in the premium plan?
A person asking a question on their phone at home

In their own words

Visitors ask the way they’d ask a person

People type questions mid-task, often on a phone, in whatever words come to mind. GoChatterBot looks for the meaning in your published pages and fields, not an exact phrase match, and the chat works the same on phones and desktops.

  • Plain questionsNo need to guess the words your site uses.
  • Straight from your contentPages, posts, custom types and the fields you share.

Frequently asked questions

Do I have to train GoChatterBot on my content?

No. There is nothing to upload and no FAQ to write. The chatbot searches the content you have already published in WordPress each time someone asks, so a page you publish or edit counts straight away.

Which content can the chatbot read?

Published pages, posts and any public custom post type that WordPress shares through its REST API, such as events, locations, team members or products from other plugins. In Settings → Content you tick the types it should read; with nothing ticked it reads every public type.

Will it read drafts or private pages?

No. Only published content is read. Drafts, private posts and password-protected pages stay out of its answers.

Can it use custom fields, like event dates or prices?

Yes. Under Fields you choose which fields to share for each content type and can give each one a friendlier label. For content with a date field, results can be sorted upcoming first, and dates that have already passed are marked as past.

Does it understand our abbreviations?

Add them under Settings → General → Answers → Abbreviations, one per line as abbreviation = meaning. A short question that matches one is expanded before searching.
