An AI chatbot that answers from your content, and nothing else
General chatbots fill gaps with whatever sounds right. GoChatterBot answers only from what you have published on your WordPress site, links to where it found it, and tells visitors plainly when your site doesn’t say.
- No outside sources
- Says when it doesn’t know
- Every answer cites its pages
The difference
A general AI chatbot vs. a grounded one
On your website, a confident wrong answer costs more than no answer at all.
General AI chatbot
- Answers from whatever it learned elsewhere
- Fills gaps with plausible guesses
- Can’t show where an answer came from
- Happily wanders off topic
- Needs you to paste in or upload your content
GoChatterBot
- Answers only from your published WordPress content
- Says so when your site doesn’t cover a question
- Links every answer to the pages it used
- Stays on the subject of your website
- Reads your live site, so there’s nothing to upload
Honest by design
“I couldn’t find that on this site” is a feature
When a question isn’t covered, visitors get a straight answer and a pointer to the closest page, not an invented policy or price.
- No made-up prices, dates or rulesIf it isn’t published, it isn’t in the answer.
- Gaps become a to-do listGrowth and Pro analytics list the questions it could not answer, so you know what to write next.
Three guardrails
Trust you can check
Your content only
Answers come from pages, posts, custom content and documents you publish. You choose which content types it may read.
Sources on every answer
Each answer lists the pages it used, so visitors can confirm the details in your own words.
Clear about being AI
An optional AI notice and a note under the message box tell visitors they are talking to an automated assistant.

When you can’t pick up
Answers you’d give yourself, even when you’re busy
When you’re serving customers or on another call, the chatbot answers from what you’ve already published, in your words, with a link to the page. If your site doesn’t cover something, it says so instead of improvising.
- Only what you’ve publishedNo outside sources, no guesses.
- Easy to checkEvery answer links to its source.
Frequently asked questions
Where do GoChatterBot’s answers come from?
Only from content published on your own WordPress site: pages, posts, the custom content types you allow, and documents in your Media Library if you turn that on. It does not search the wider web or add facts from elsewhere.
What happens when my site doesn’t cover a question?
The chatbot says it couldn’t find that on the site instead of guessing. Those questions also appear in your analytics (on Growth and Pro, under “Questions it could not answer”), so you can see what content to add.
Can it still get something wrong?
Yes. Like any AI it can occasionally misread a page, which is why every answer links to the pages it used and why you can add a short note under the message box. Visitors can also rate an answer, and you can read every conversation in WordPress.
Will it answer questions that have nothing to do with my site?
No. It stays on the subject of your website, so it won’t write essays, code or opinions for visitors.
Can I tell visitors they are talking to an AI?
Yes. The AI notice setting shows a short message at the top of the chat before the first question, and the Note under the message box stays visible while they type.
