Connection settings and development copies

Your API key, your plan, and settings for staging and development copies.

Connection

API key: The key from your dashboard. Show reveals it; Test the connection checks it works.
Plan: Your plan and monthly answers, with an Upgrade link.

Only administrators can see and change this tab.

Development copies

Testing on a staging or development copy of your site? Use these on the copy, not on the live site.

Developer mode: This is a development or staging copy of the site. The chatbot reads this copy but links to the live site in its answers.
Live site address: The address answers should link to, such as https://www.yoursite.com.
Password: If the copy sits behind a password (for example a protected directory), tick This copy needs a password to read its REST API and enter the user name and password. Leave the password field blank to keep the saved one, or enter - to remove it.

A key works on the website address it was created for. Create a separate key for your staging address, or edit the key’s website in your dashboard while you test.
